Congresswoman-elect Kathy Dahlkemper Selects Office Location

Erie, PA – Effective Jan. 6, 2009, Congresswoman-elect Kathy Dahlkemper will open her office in former Congressman Phil English’s office location in the Intermodal Transportation Center at 208 East Bayfront Park, Ste. 102 in Erie.

“We have chosen to maintain this office location because of its familiarity among constituents within the 3rd District.  We want this transition to be as seamless as possible.  The location offers convenient access and plenty of free parking,” said Dahlkemper.  “To open an office in an alternate location would mean up to 60 days without an office and services.”

While Dahlkemper continues to review operational models from Representatives across the United States, she is examining a new model for satellite offices termed Congress in the Community in which a regional representative would travel throughout the district. 

“Many Congressional offices are using this model as it allows for better representation throughout the district,” said Dahlkemper.

Dahlkemper expects to announce a staff roster and office structure within the coming week.
