Presidential Inauguration Tickets Available Through Congresswoman-elect Kathy Dahlkemper's Office

Erie, PA – Tickets to President-elect Barack Obama’s inauguration on Jan. 20, 2009 are available to residents of Pennsylvania’s 3rd District through Congresswoman-elect Kathy Dahlkemper’s office.  All requests for tickets must be received by November 30, 2008.

“Requests for tickets can be made through email to info@kathydahlkemperforcongress.com or by phoning our office at (814) 456-0987,” said Dahlkemper.  “Because we’ve received hundreds of requests, significantly more than the limited tickets we will be afforded, we have determined a lottery would be the fairest way to distribute tickets.  We will hold the lottery on December 5 allowing enough time for folks to make transportation and hotel arrangements. In and effort to ensure that the maximum number of constituents can attend this historic event no will receive more than two tickets.”

According to the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, ticket holders will be required to arrive at 9 a.m. and will NOT be permitted to bring any water, liquids, strollers, bags etc.  The tickets will be for reserved standing areas.  Ticket holders should plan on standing outside for approximately five hours.

Winners of the lottery will be advised as to where they can pick-up the tickets.  Tickets cannot be mailed. Complete instructions will accompany the tickets.  Tickets will not gain the bearer entrance to any parties or events.
